After the recent big reveal of "Star Wars: Episode VIII's" title, the hype with the said installment was taken up a notch. Fans and film critics alike have been wondering since then as to who the title refers to as "The Last Jedi."

Actor Mark Hamill was at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival for the film "Brigsby Bear." The actor sat down with Uproxx and talked about the said Sundance film entry including a bit of "Star Wars."

When asked about the recent announcement of "Episode VIII's" title, he stated that he was already given the heads up on what will the title be early in its production. However, he further explained that the title was somewhat hinted at the opening crawl of "The Force Awakens."

Hamill went on and said that he was not aware of it until he received a tweet with the said phrase that got him quite surprised. He was even left musing why it was put there as it will pinpoint to his iconic character. He then thought that such phrase could be vague to some extent adding that it could be Leia, Luke, or someone else with the Skywalker bloodline.

As the discussion turned to the Jakku scavenger Rey who was portrayed by Daisy Ridley, Hamill seemed to have been contemplating on that thought as well. It is a known fact among fans that the Force is very much evident with the character and her being the last Jedi is plausible.

Meanwhile, the current word on the street is that "Episode VIII" will be a flashback-laden installment, according to MovieWeb. This roused speculations that Han Solo (Harrison Ford) could be seen once again in the upcoming sequel. More so with the untimely passing of co-star and friend Carrie Fisher such theory is now very much likely.

There was even a clip of Ford from "Jimmy Kimmel Live" talking about his character being killed off in the recent film. When asked by Kimmel if there is any chance that Han Solo will be back in future installments, the actor simply gave gestures that may well seem to suggest that he is not confirming nor denying such speculations.
