Niantic has officially conducted another “Pokemon GO” nest migration. Players can now update their maps as previous nests could have been moved while new ones spawn near their area.

“Pokemon GO” nests are areas where a certain Pokemon spawns frequently. For instance, a small park could spawn Pikachus every minute and it may be considered as a nest. Niantic has conducted several nest migrations in the past and the most recent one is the 12th.

For some players, nests migrations can be a bad thing. They may be farming a certain type of Pokemon and the migration can take the nest away from them as it moves to another unknown location. Others, however, are more optimistic as a rare Pokemon nest may spawn in their vicinity.

“Pokemon GO” nests of Charmander have reportedly been changed to spawn Execute, Jynx and Vulpix, Heavy has learned. Those who want to catch a Dratini will want to travel to previous Tentacool nests.

Not every nest report is accurate as they may still vary depending on the region. A nest migration of a Scyther to Poliwag in the United States may be different in Asia.

Players can also consult the “Pokemon GO” Global Nest Atlas which tracks the nest migrations that Niantic conducts. They are also not entirely accurate but some of their entries are right most of the time. They can be found in The Silph Road where other “Pokemon GO” tips and tricks can be seen, Mic reported. Interested players can also contribute to the cause.

Niantic’s “Pokemon GO” nest migrations usually occur every two weeks without any official announcement. The changes are tracked by other players who want to help others catch all of the available Pokemon.
