With the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event kicking off, it comes as no surprise that rumors are now circulating regarding the potential matchups at WrestleMania 33 that come as a result. While the Elimination Chamber event in February can still throw a spanner in the works, these matches are the ones most likely to happen at the "grandest stage of them all."

For starters, the Raw women's championship will be contested via a fatal four way matchup between Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax, Bayley, and Sasha Banks, according to Forbes. Flair notably defended the title against Bayley early on in the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, while Jax also defeated Banks at the same event. It would be interesting to see how the four arguably best female superstars in the WWE will measure up against one another.

After winning the 2017 Royal Rumble matchup and becoming only the seventh man two win two or more, Randy Orton is now set to feature in the headliner at WrestleMania 33. However, after he cost the Wyatt Family their SmackDown Tag Team championship, he is now supposedly looking to cut ties with them as well. The perfect opportunity to do so would be a match at WrestleMania, although it is highly unlikely that the WWE will also feature Bray Wyatt in the main event, so this feud may have to wait.

Shaquille O' Neal's social media feud with the Big Show will finally come to a climax when the two come face to face at the WWE's annual marquee event. Seth Rollins could possibly finally get his hands on WWE's vice president Triple H at WrestleMania 33 as well. Triple H turned heel and betrayed Rollins in the four-man matchup for the then-vacant WWE Universal championship, and was also the reason Rollins lost his spot in the Royal Rumble to Sami Zayn.

Meanwhile, the Undertaker will be looking to add another win to his impressive WretleMania record. This time though, he will not be facing Brock Lesnar, but rather Roman Reigns, who recently lost out on the WWE Universal championship after being pinned by Kevin Owens at Royal Rumble.

Speaking of Owens, WrestleMania may spell the end of his alliance with United States champion Chris Jericho. After winning his match against a determined Reigns without Jericho's assistance, Owens could be feeling that he can once again dominate the WWE landscape on his own. This match could potentially be for Owens' Universal title.

Bill Goldberg's matchup vs. Brock Lesnar is also now all but confirmed for this year's WrestleMania and it could well be for a world title, according to the Wrestling Observe Newsletter, as cited by Wrestling Inc. It is not yet known how either newly crowned WWE champion John Cena nor the man he dethroned, AJ Styles, will fit in at the upcoming edition WrestleMania, but rumors of Goldberg vs. Lesnar being a title matchup could as well guarantee their participation in the match.
