In addition, there is also a chance that gamers can pre-order "Red Dead Redemption 2" at the same day as the trailer launch, IDigital Times reported. Rockstar Games released the first official trailer of "Red Dead Redempton 2" last year with the release date set on the Fall of 2017.

It seems that Rockstar Games has something to showcase for "Red Dead Redemption 2" at the Super Bowl as a way to promote the game and even announcing an exact release date of the sequel.

British retail website Littlewoods put a placeholder for "Red Dead Redemption 2" as the game will be released on Oct. 2 for the PS4 and possibly the Xbox One.

The start of October does seem quite early for a launch of this scale, however, based on last year’s release schedule it would also likely put it out ahead of the likes of "Call of Duty" and "Battlefront 2".

There is also the added problem of Rockstar Games of their track record of having to delay games. The first "Red Dead Redemption" game had to be pushed back a month to make way for further polishing, so even if Littlewoods were spot on the launch date, the game could still come out on a different date.

Rockstar Games sequel to the western game will feature three playable characters and an online mode similar to "GTA Online" in "Grand Theft Auto 5".

There are also hints that Rockstar Games will not have "Red Dead Redemption 2" on the Nintendo Switch as game insider Laura Kate Dale told YouTube channel OBE1 during a livestream session that Rockstar Games simply does not trust Nintendo and their latest console.

Rockstar Games previously tweeted hiring new candidates for an Operations Manager, which according to the job description, the chosen applicant will be handling an entire project life cycle and that would also include the quality testing of for Rockstars' upcoming video games.

The company are also looking for video game testers, which have experience using Xbox Live, PSN, Steam and Rockstar Social Club. Another job post revealed that Rockstar is also looking for a .Net Engineer and is stated to placed on a team that will focus in improving online gaming performance.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" will be release on the Fall 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
