"The Flash" Season 3 episode 11 entitled "Dead or Alive" on Jan. 31, Tuesday, revolved largely around H.R. Wells for whom a "collector" or metahuman from Earth-19 was sent to bring him back. He faced death for unlawfully travelling between the parallel worlds.

Inter-dimensional trips are forbidden in Wells' world since there was an invasion from another parallel planet in the past. Hence, Wells was considered a criminal as he crossed to the main universe and broadcast his fictional stories. Such crime is punishable by death without appeals.

Well's collector was Gypsy whose powers are similar to that of Francisco Ramon and she knows how to use them. The only way to save Wells was trial by combat and Ramon volunteered for the job despite having barely 24 hours to train.

Ramon and Gypsy were evenly matched during their showdown until she opened a way to another Earth. Both of them traveled from universe to universe trading blows in a thrilling action scene.

Ramon prevailed, courtesy of a strategy tip given by Julian Albert, Team Flash's pessimist know-it-all. Ramon did not kill Gypsy though but the latter will tell the big bosses in Earth-19 she killed Wells, hence, he cannot return home.

"The Flash" Season 3 episode 11 "Dead or Alive" brought in about 3.04 million views. It was a 13 percent up in nightly viewers and 22 percent between 18-49 year olds compared to its preceding episode on Jan. 24, CBR has learned.

The storyline of the recent episode of The CW series should be the main credit for the viewership spike. Coincidentally, it aired on the day United States President Donald Trump appointed his nominee to head the Supreme Court.

Trump appointed Neil Gorsuch who was in the list of potential picks assembled mostly by the Federalist Society and Heritage Foundation. The appointment was also based on the input from his advisers.

"Don McGahn obviously shepherded this process," Yahoo quoted White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer as saying. "His team, the vice president, Reince Priebus and Steve Bannon were all people that were really instrumental."
