After playing an overweight attorney in 2015's "Oh My Venus," Shin Min-Ah will star next in the upcoming fantasy melodrama "Tomorrow With You." Recently, the 32-year-old star revealed what is going to be different about her new tvN drama compared to Gong Yoo starrer "Goblin."

The story of "Tomorrow With You" will revolve around a time traveler, Yoo So-Joo (Lee Je Hoon) and his wife, Song Ma Rin (Shin). Since it involved a time-traveling theme, the new fantasy melodrama is bound to inspire comparisons to the recently concluded "Goblin."

Shin, however, distanced the new tvN drama to its predecessor during a sit-down interview with Korea's Harper Bazaar magazine, as cited by Hello Kpop. Unlike other time-traveling dramas, the upcoming series is more focused on the future than the past.

"Characters usually travel back to the past in other dramas," Shin added. "In ours, we try to overcome what will happen in the future through the present."

Despite succeeding "Goblin," Shin said she does not feel pressured to repeat the success achieved by the 16-episode fantasy drama. Instead, she feels more pressure knowing that the tvN drama is completely pre-produced and changing the plot will not be an option.

Since it is a format that Shin have not experienced yet, she had a lot of worries throughout filming for "Tomorrow With You." She then revealed that she is both thrilled and anxious about how viewers would react to her portrayal of Song Ma Rin.

Song Ma Rin is a former child star who failed to bloom into an adult actress because of her weak acting. Believing her best days are behind her, she is easily annoyed and prone to excessive drinking.

One day, the heroine suddenly receives a marriage proposal from Yoo So Joon, a CEO of a real estate company. It then turns out that the latter is able to travel through time by means of a subway train.

"The subway becomes an important motif," The Kpop Herald quoted director Yoo Je Won as saying during a promotional press conference on Jan. 23. "An intriguing point of the show is that 'fantastical events happen in this mundane setting by which people travel every day',"

Also starring Kim Ye-Won and Chae Dong-Hyun, "Tomorrow With You" is set to premiere on Feb. 03 at 10:00 PM (KST). Check it out below:
