In "Scandal" Season 6 episode 3 titled "Fates Worse than Death," viewers will find out why Jake Ballard (Scott Foley) disappeared. Many characters will get centric episodes that will unveil more details about the Election Night.

"We will see Jake's perspective on what happens on Election Night," Foley told Entertainment Weekly. "He plays a very important role."

According to Foley, there is a reason why Jake disappears and viewers will see it. Where the character went is very important, according to the actor, so it is not likely that the character disappears for good. 

Airing on Feb. 9, Wednesday, on ABC, "Fates Worse than Death" is written by Shonda Rhimes and directed by Foley. There will be a national crisis in the episode.

Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry) will seal his fate. Along with the gladiators, Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) will do everything just to find the truth.

In "Fates Worse than Death," Taiwanese-American actor Kenny Leu will make his debut in the political thriller series on ABC. He will play Dale the Campaign Aide in the episode.

Prior to this, Leu played Dr. Hudson in the horror film "Extraction: Genesis." He also played Ping Li in "Independence Day: Resurgence," which starred Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman.

Leu is not the only actor making a debut in the ABC series. "Silicon Valley" actress Phoebe Neidhardt is also appearing in the show for the first time playing a character named Meg.

Other actors featured in "Fates Worse than Death" are Matthew Del Negro as Michael, Guillermo Diaz as Huck, Mel Fair as a news anchor, Chelsea Kurtz as Jennifer Fields, Brian Letscher as Tom Larsen, Saycon Sengbloh as Angela Webster and Kimrie Lewis-Davis as reporter Ashley. Dax Dixon and Afsheen Olyaie will also appear in the episode as a reporter and a pedestrian, respectively.

Meanwhile, Foley has yet to return to the big screen since the 2014 film "Let's Kill Ward's Wife." On Jan. 14, he attended a charity event at EBMRF Benefit in Malibu, California, with Kaley Cuoco, Brad Pitt, Charlie Hunnam, Rami Malek, Garrett Hedlund, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and David Spade, People reported.
