Avid viewers of the NBC series "Blindspot" have been hoping to see Jane (Jaimie Alexander) develop a stronger romantic relationship with Kurt (Sullivan Stapleton). Recently, Alexander talked about her character's bond with the said FBI agent, as well as her brother Roman (Luke Mitchell).

"Blindspot" Season 2 episode 12 featured a touching scene between Jane and Kurt where the two characters bonded together over beer at the latter's apartment. Aired on Jan. 18, the said scene also gave viewers a peek at the duo's growing closeness.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Alexander hinted that the said scene signals the start of a stronger relationship between Jane and Kurt. Recounting how the two characters were pushed together in the early part of the NBC series, both are now given the chance to explore their relationship at a slower pace.

The actress stated, "Little by little this season, they're building a really great foundation for a very solid relationship - friendship or romance ... now we really get a chance to move slow. Everybody knows the slower you move, the longer it lasts usually."

Alexander also mentioned that Jane and Kurt's relationship will never be normal, given their profession, past and personal experiences. Describing the duo's unique bond as beautiful, the said element is what makes the two characters' relationship both "intoxicating and alluring," according to the actress.

Meanwhile, Alexander also talked about Jane's relationship with Roman. Given that Jane's brother is starting to regain some of his memories, the said character will continue to protect Roman despite his terrorist background.

In other news, the upcoming "Blindspot" Season 2 episode 13 will bring Jane and her team a step closer to learning more about Sandstorm's plans. Moreover, Shepherd's (Michelle Hurd) true identity will be unveiled that will serve as the big break that the FBI needs to crack the Sandstorm case, according to episode spoilers posted on Spoilers Guide.

Titled "Name Not One Man," the said episode will also reveal an interesting information about Kurt and his past. It appears that the FBI agent previously had a connection with Shepherd during his military training days.
