Midseason premiere to feature time jump and a dark storyline

When "Teen Wolf' Season 6 returns to the small screens, viewers will see a time jump in the MTV series' storyline. In an interview with TVLine, Davis shared that the time jump will move the story forward to several months, as well as explore an era where Scott and friends are considered outsiders.

Describing the plot as "something new but also old," the showrunner also revealed that the remaining episodes will focus on fear. He even added that the final ten episodes will feature elements of "dark horror."

Balanced storytelling to show journey of new and original pack members

With Scott, Lydia (Holland Roden), Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) and Malia (Shelley Hennig) going off to college and starting their journey into adulthood, avid fans of the MTV series will still see Liam (Dylan Sprayberry), Hayden (Victoria Moroles), Mason (Khylin Rhambo) and Corey's (Michael Johnston) high school adventures at Beacon Hills. Davis shared in an interview with Hypable that the remaining episodes will feature a shared plot focus on both generations.

New relationships

The midseason finale of "Teen Wolf" Season 6 established the foundation for new relationships, both romantic and familial. Viewers can look forward to Argent (J.R. Bourne) and Melissa's (Melissa Ponzio) budding romance, as well as Malia's renewed yet tenuous relationship with her father Peter (Ian Bohen).

As for Stiles and Lydia, it is still unclear whether viewers will see the two together in upcoming episodes or if their romance will progress to a lasting relationship, according to Davis. The showrunner also highlighted how the couple's new romance will complicate Malia's relationship with both characters since Stiles was her first love.

Exploring Scott's fears

With Beacon Hills threatened by a new kind of danger, the situation will prey on Scott's greatest fear that he might never get to live his own life. Davis told Entertainment Weekly that upcoming episodes will explore Scott's apprehensions about being stuck in Beacon Hills forever as its protector.

"Teen Wolf" will return with its final ten episodes in summer. Watch a teaser clip below:
