In the latter part of 2016, it was first speculated that AMD's highly anticipated processors would be around a $500 price range. True enough, a screenshot from an online store as revealed by Forbes somehow confirms the previous speculations.

Based on the reported leak, the upcoming CPU from AMD will be with around $490 for the high-end device described as "1800X 95W AM4 WOF." On the other hand, the succeeding price range for the other devices was within a $300 price point.

Now, with the selling price of AMDs upcoming processor being revealed, the wide range of difference between Intel devices has been clearly showcased. The devices from AMD are much cheaper compared to that of Intel. Thus, suggesting a little maneuvering room for the dominant company.

The threat of AMD surpassing Intel this year may soon become a reality. Even Intel itself is cognizant of the potential successful outcome of AMD's campaign. There were some adjustments being made to the tariff schedules on specific Intel products, according to Canada PC Hardware.

To go along with some price adjustments, Intel will likewise introduce Core i7 7740K and Core i5 7640K CPU to battle the Zen based processor. However, there is still no assurance on how the market will react to both Intel and AMD's campaign this year. As of the current writing, AMD has been leading the campaign in terms of hype and marketing ploy.
