The Super Bowl is one of the biggest sporting events in the world and attracts star athletes from multiple disciplines. This year, Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Simone Biles and NBA legend Shaquille O' Neal went to the NRG stadium in Houston, Texas to witness the New England Patriots take on the Atlanta Falcons in the annual winner take all football game.
The two star athletes took a picture with each other at the event, which has quickly gone viral on social media. O' Neal, who stands at a towering 7'1" and wears a size 22 shoe, looked massive posing next to the 4'8" Biles. In the photo, Biles is already wearing heels, but could only reach O' Neal's chest area.
This is not the first time Biles has been pictured next to someone who is much taller than her. Being a world-class athlete as well as being field reporter at sporting events has given her the chance to appear next to some of the biggest names in the sporting world.
The 2016 Olympics in Brazil showed how much the height mismatch was between the United States women's gymnastics team and athletes from other sports and other nationalities. Biles is one of the shortest members of the US women's gymnastics team, which has no one with a height of over 5'2".
A photo of Biles standing back to back against US men's volleyball player David Lee has also gone viral in the past. Lee stands at 6'8", which meant that even the women's gymnastics team's tallest member, Aly Raisman, looked tiny against his stature, NBC reported. This also meant that he is a full two-feet taller compared to Biles.
