Kim Jong Kook may be known as the strongest cast member on "Running Man," however, he also has a heart of gold. Recently, the South Korean singer joined "This is My Home" cast members to build a new house for a BTS fan.

The "Running Man" star participated in a home renovation and construction project that gave a less fortunate family a new house to live in. Min Young, a 15-year-old girl and BTS fan, along with her grandmother and other family members, were surprised when cast members of "This is My Home" transformed their mice-infested and dilapidated house into a modern home, All Kpop reported.

Kim even helped to smoothen out the wet cement floor during the house's renovation period and also constructed wall shelves for Min Young's books. With the goal of giving the BTS fan and her family a comfortable and safe environment to live in, the South Korean musician, as well as other "This is My Home" cast, worked hard to complete the extreme home makeover in the fastest time possible.

In the unveiling of Min Young's new home, the BTS fan and her family were shocked to see the many upgrades that included stainless steel kitchen appliances and other modern amenities. The design team of "This is My Home" even added a small outdoor patio in the middle of the house.

Meanwhile, Kim was recently credited as the reason why "Running Man" members decided to continue the SBS show's broadcast. With the variety show slated for cancellation following a casting controversy that involved Kim and Song Ji Hyo's exit, the said decision was reversed after a network official re-discussed the show's future with the cast members.

SBS executive Nam Seung Yong first approached Kim to re-open negotiations and apologize for the incident, according to South Korean news outlet Joins. The singer then accompanied the said network's entertainment director to meet other cast members who were persuaded to stay on the show.

"Running Man" airs every Sunday on SBS. Watch a clip from the show's latest episode below:
