The superhero series "Arrow" has introduced several iconic characters from the DC Universe, however, another hero may soon appear in the CW series. Latest spoiler news teased of the appearance of a Green Lantern Easter egg in the show's recent episode.

"Arrow" Season 5 episode 12 gave viewers a look at Oliver's (Stephen Amell) early life training with Talia (Lexa Doig). In a flashback scene, Talia gave Oliver a mission to take down the leader of a drug ring and explore his inner hero vigilante persona.

Titled "Bratva," the said episode also featured a tense discussion between Oliver and Talia where the former conveyed his concerns about leaving the Russian Bratva and the latter tried to convince him to take a different path. Aired on Feb. 8, the said scene also showed Oliver standing beside a table that contained what appears to be the Green Lanterns' power battery.

Story speculations posted on Screen Rant indicated that the said green costumed superhero might be making an appearance in "Arrow" or within the CW's DC superhero series. Moreover, this was not first time that elements from the "Green Lantern" story arc were incorporated in "Arrow" and "The Flash."

Several episodes in "Arrow" included references to Ferris Air which was the aviation company that the Green Lantern's human alter ego, namely Hal Jordan, worked for. Similar Green Lantern Easter eggs were also present in "The Flash" such as the mural of Greek Gods hanging at the CCPD where one is a painting of Hephaestus who is the representation of the Emerald Knight, as indicated in the same report.

At this time, it is still unsure if a potential Green Lantern story or appearance will be incorporated in upcoming episodes. Showrunners have yet to comment on the latest news.

Meanwhile, Oliver will have a unique reaction to Felicity's (Emily Bett Rickards) transformation into a slightly darker character. Amell told Entertainment Weekly that Oliver might already have an idea of his former fiancee's secret activities and that he will have a different way of getting Felicity to open up to him.

"Arrow" Season 5 airs every Wednesday on the CW. Watch a clip from of Oliver and Talia's discussion below:
