NieR: Automata will not be out until next month in the U.S. However, Sony has provided fans a fragment of the upcoming game giving them a clearer picture of what the future holds by the time it is out in the wild.
Players are aware by now that the PlayStation Network already dished out a downloadable demo version of the game that only featured a nub in the game. Thinking that such is not enough, a 29-minute gameplay of the upcoming game has been recently released suggesting that there are lots of things to do in NieR's dystopian world.
The latest in the NieR franchise will chip in a new game element, though such feature has been seen in other game series such as "Dark Souls." Players who got their characters wasted during the game will still have the chance to retrieve their stuff including the android's previous body provided that they reach the spot where they got killed.
Once obtained, they now have the chance to fix it. If done correctly, players will gain bonuses in doing so, otherwise, it has to be taken down and gamers will also receive a bonus in defeating it, Eurogamer has learned.
"NieR" director Yoko Taro spoke with PlayStation Europe to talk about the new title. He also highlighted about the game's plug-in chip system where players collect chips that will buff up the androids' skills and whatnot. However, Taro's eccentricity will be felt yet again in the latest NieR installment as he included a nasty surprise for the players to discover.
The director taunted that he devised a chip in the game where once it is lodged and then taken off from the android, instant death ensues. To make things worse, players will be taken back to the game's title screen and such will come like a sucker punch to them.
