Beloved characters of the Freeform series "Shadowhunters" Season 2 will have to face some of their biggest fears in the upcoming episode. Latest spoiler news teased of a tense discussion between Simon (Alberto Rosende) and Clary (Katherine McNamara), while Alec (Matthew Daddario) and Magnus (Harry Shum Jr.) take another step in their relationship.
"Shadowhunters" Season 2 episode 7 showed Simon's growing attraction to Maia (Alisha Wainwright), as well as their first date together. Aired on Feb. 13, Monday, the developments in Simon's love life surprised Clary who appears to have mixed feelings at seeing her best friend going out with a girl.
Clary's emotions, as well as Simon's pent-up feelings, will be unleashed in the upcoming "Shadowhunters" Season 2 episode 8. Titled "Love is a Devil," Simon will take a bold step that might change the dynamics of his relationship with other people, according to episode spoilers posted on Spoilers Guide.
Simon will have a heart-to-heart talk with Clary about his feelings and romantic relationship with Maia. Given his unrequited love for his best friend, Simon will try to keep their relationship platonic and move on with his life and with his new love interest.
Meanwhile, Alec and Magnus' relationship will also take center stage in the Freeform series' upcoming episode. With Alec organizing Max's (Jack Fulton) Rune ceremony, he will take advantage of the event to introduce Magnus to his parents.
However, the celebration will be marred with a few unfortunate incidents such the threat to Jace's (Dominic Sherwood) with the said character in danger of being stabbed with a flying dagger. As for Isabelle (Emeraude Toubia), Alec's sister will still have to deal with her addiction although she would soon find an unlikely ally.
Given Isabelle's addiction and her attempts to keep it a secret from her friends, her relationships with Clary and Alec will be further strained. Toubia also shared during the show's New York Comic-Con panel that her character will take a dark path in the Freeform series' second season, TV Fanatic quoted the actress as saying.
