Splash Report's Kellvin Chavez took to Twitter to express his amazement after watching "Kong." He stated that moviegoers must not go just yet until they see the upcoming film's post-credits scene that got him all hyped up. However, the editor-in-chief remained zipped as he does not want to spoil the fun. Despite being mum about it, many believe that such scene would feature an eventual tie in between the great ape and the dai kaiju Godzilla (Gojira).

It was made known in 2015 by production outfit Legendary Pictures that a movie mashup between the two behemoths is slated to be released. Moreover, the said monster flick will be released after they roll out the inbound "Kong" and "Godzilla: King of Monsters," according to Movie Web. The latter now has an initial release date of March 22, 2019, while the "Godzilla vs. Kong" film will be due on May 29, 2020.

Meanwhile, it looks like the rumored "Godzilla" end credit scene is inching to become a reality with the recent clip from "Kong" featuring John Goodman and Samuel L. Jackson. The latest clip showcases a sequence where Goodman is being interrogated by Jackson at gunpoint.

The former mentioned to his interrogator that monsters ruled the earth before humans arrive and the juicy part of the clip came when Goodman revealed that he works for Monarch that tracks down monster activities. For those who are unaware, Monarch was a secret organization devised by Legendary for their rendition of "Godzilla" in 2014.

"Kong" narrates the exploits of a group of individuals in a mysterious island somewhere in the Pacific. Their quest of exploring and discovering the island was later on turned into an escape mission as soon as they are welcomed by the island's inhabitants, 411 Mania reported. "Kong: Skull Island's" showing date in the U.S. is on March 10.
