"For Honor" is a great video game that pits players on fighting each other with different swordplay styles. They will have to think hard of their strategies on the battlefield because every decision they make will make a difference for victory.

For beginners of the video game, it will be a difficult task to survive without prior knowledge of the basics. Here are some tips that they can follow so that they will be able to fend off some opponents and survive through one game.

While some players tend to just skip the tutorial and jump into the video game, this particular game will make them watch tutorial videos first if they want to survive, according to VG247. They should navigate through the main menu and pick advanced practice to learn all of the moves first. This mode allows them to pick which hero they want to practice with because each hero has their own tutorial videos for players to watch and learn.

Practice is important in "For Honor" so that players can get the hang of the controls before going to an actual fight. Without prior knowledge, their opponents will only massacre their heroes without difficulty. If they finish these tutorials, they will get in-game currency, which are used to unlock heroes, buy gear, and many more.

Each hero in the video game will have their own moveset, and it is important for players to understand that first. Their heroes usually with have three attack chains, which can be used for combination attacks. There is no need to memorize each moveset for each hero, but it is important that they get the hang of the combos of one hero they usually play with.

The video game will allow players to fight against AI either in Free Mode, or set up by them with a map of their choice, bot difficulty, and other settings. They can invite their friends if they want, but it is important they fight AIs first to get used to the controls. They will get experience from these modes, and they will get the chance to gain some loot afterwards.

The guard break system is an important aspect of the video game's combat system that players need to understand, according to the official website of Prima Games. If their opponents are skilled with blocking all of their attacks, they will need to guard break to get through their opponent's guard. Pressing the guard break button twice will also trigger the throw or tackle ability, which will vary on the hero.

Guard breaks in "For Honor" can stop an opponent from sidestepping or dodging the players' attacks. There are some heroes like the Peacekeeper or Berserker that can continually dodge attacks, which is why it is important for them to master the guard break as soon as possible.
