Barely a month after "Nioh" hit gaming markets, the PS4 action role-playing game has exhibited several glitches. Recently, players raised concerns of their saved games disappearing when they create a new character.

"Nioh" has captured the interest of avid gamers who are looking for a challenging gaming title that will allow them to play a samurai character. Some critics even compared the PS4 game to "Dark Souls 3" but on a tougher level.

However, some players recently reported a bug that appears to prevent gamers from creating multiple save files. A Reddit thread highlighted how "Nioh" erased a saved file when a player started a new game with a separate data.

Redditor Unkempt_Herald recounted how he created a new character, separate from his existing level 98 character, and encountered no errors during the process. It was only after he saved the said character under a new game data and went back to check his first save file did he discover that the action erased the contents of his initial saved game.

It appears that "Nioh" is overwriting a gamer's existing save file even if a player created a new save data. Game developer Team Ninja and game publisher Sony have yet to comment on the save glitch and whether a bug fix will be deployed soon.

Meanwhile, players are advised to back-up their saved files either through PlayStation Plus' cloud storage or an external USB drive. The said actions will help to prevent lost saved data when creating a new character.

In other news, Team Ninja recently released a patch update that fixed a few bugs and introduced balance changes. Deployed on Feb. 15, Wednesday, "Nioh" patch 1.03 increased random encounter rewards, adjusted the Medusa power's paralysis effect and more, according to patch notes posted on PlayStation Lifestyle.

Apart from the said changes, the patch also addressed glitches found in some of the game's sub-missions such as "The Magatama of Fire" and "A Fiercer Flame." Moreover, players can now unlock the title "Saika Magoichi crusher," as well as play through the Daizaifu main mission without the emotion tutorial window remaining on screen.

"Nioh" was released on Feb. 7 for the PS4 console. Learn more about the game in the clip below:
