Ahead AMD Ryzen specs and price confirmation, several benchmark leaks were released online. Latest leaks revealed that AMD overpowers Intel's hexacore and octa-core processors.

The highly anticipated AMD processor has been viewed as a threat to Intel's market this year. True enough, recent leak reveals that AMD's Ryzen 5 1600X is outperforming Intel's Core i7-6850K, according to CPU-Z benchmark, Forbes reported. The claim of dominance by AMD over Intel has been viewed both in Single-threaded and multi-threaded tests.

Provided that such leaked details are authentic, then Intel will surely have a major problem upon AMD's release of their Ryzen 5. Since both processors have the similar number of cores and threads, the price point will surely make a difference.

Moreover, in the market value aspect, the Ryzen 5 1600X might already have the edge. It is expected that AMD's 6 core will come with a price of $259, while Intel's Core i7-6850K retails for a $610. Such price discrepancy might significantly affect a large portion of Intel's established market.

Aside from the 6 core processor from AMD, another threat has also been reported online. The Ryzen 7 1800X 8 Core CPU benchmarks likewise suggest dominance over Intel's $1000 chips, according to Wccf Tech.

Based on the report, Intel's $1099 Broadwell-E i7 6900K has been outperformed by Ryzen 7 1800X 6 times out of 8 performance tests. Such test was performed with turbo being disabled, but still AMD has outperformed Intel's 140W 8 Cores.

Furthermore, in the single-threaded performance test, it was revealed that Ryzen at 3.6 GHz Single Threaded Performance had delivered an approximate 4 percent higher IPC over Intel's Broadwell E. Thus, highlighting more the threat of AMD in terms of competitiveness in both performance and price.

As of the current writing, the reported release date for Ryzen processors would be in March. By then, the leaked performance tests will be confirmed or debunked by users.
