Online streaming site Hulu has managed to add "Mobile Suit Gundam" franchise to their offerings. Five anime series from the "Gundam" franchise is set for release this week.

As the competition against other online streaming sites like Crunchyroll and Funimation continues, Hulu decided to add popular anime franchise to their list. The upcoming release this week will include five titles under the "Gundam" franchises.

The online streaming site will release tomorrow, February 20, series such as "Mobile Suit Gundam 00," "Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Remaster." To complete the thrill and adventure, the site likewise decided to all "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing," "Mobile Suit Gundam: 08th MS Team," and "Mobile Suit Gundam the Origin," according to Comic Book.

As of the latest update, there is still no confirmation regarding the type of format that the aforementioned anime titles will be released on. Depending on the licensing secured by the online streaming site, the anime series could be released either in English subbed or dubbed format.

The recent move of the online streaming site has given U.S. audiences additional option. The "Mobile Suit Gundam" may only be legally viewed in the U.S. through home releases, according to Streaming Observer. Interested viewers may either choose between a DVD format or Blu-ray sets produced by Right Stuf.

As an overview of the upcoming anime, "Mobile Suit Gundam" was first released in Japan back in 1979. The anime has become so popular during its time that it led to series of follow-ups and movies. The said anime is an action-packed adventure that includes massive tech suits piloted by humans. Since it is set in the distant future, the curiosity of anime fans was ignited during its first release.

For several years, the anime scored high in terms of poll selection and response. With Hulu's acquisition of the rights to stream the said anime, the company hopes to draw more fans to their streaming site.
