Atlanta Hawks defensive wing Thabo Sefolosha has emerged as a potential trade target for the Washington Wizards, who continue to look for added help off the bench.

Washington is reportedly looking to bolster its bench, with the team looking like a legit playoff team. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, the Wizards have shown interest in Lakers' super-sub Lou Williams and Nets' Bojan Bogdanovic, with the team willing to give up a future first-rounder to get some veteran help off the bench.

"Washington has shown an inclination to give up a future draft pick, a first-round pick, potentially even in this draft, to get a veteran who may even turn out to be a rental for them," Wojnarowski said.

Adding either of the two would be a tremendous boost for the Wizards' second unit, but giving up a future first draft pick could be too pricey for the team. If the Wizards value their future assets, Thabo Sefolosha could be a viable alternative.

Dan Favale of Bleacher Report explored the possibility of the Wizards acquiring Sefolosha from the Hawks. In Favale's trade scenario, the Wizards would send Danuel House, Andrew Nicholson and a pair of second round picks in 2017 and 2018 for Sefolosha and Mike Scott.

Sefolosha, who averages 7.6 points a game this season, won't help too much on the offensive end, but he is still one of the league's premiere defensive stopper. Considering his age and value, Sefolosha would be an ideal rental for the Wizards without sacrificing too much of their future picks.

It remains to be seen whether the Wizards would make a run at Sefolosha, but recent trade deals should see them look for help in the market.
