Apple's new MacBook 2015 models overshadows its upcoming Apple Watch line, which can cost up to $17,000.

More are excited for the MacBook Pro and Air 2015 rather than the once overly-hyped Apple Watch.

There are several reasons why people would prefer to buy the 2015 MacBooks. For instance, the Apple Watch's functions are already present in almost all of the existing smartphones in the market, including Android ones.

There are also a number of smartwatches already available in the market with better battery life, compared to the Apple Watch's 18-hour battery, according to Times Live. Its price is also twice as expensive with other competitors, which typically has a price tag of around the $150 mark.

Some industry analysts do not believe that the Apple's smartwatch will not be able to reach the Cupertino firm's forecast of 10 million units per quarter.

Another reason that the 2015 MacBooks might exceed the smartwatch's sales is that both of Apple's products will be released on the same night.

The 13-inch MacBook Air and Pro 2015 has upgraded features such as thinner and lighter bodies. The Air will also have an upgraded SSD from Samsung that has a doubled read and write speed compared to predecessors. Also, the number of laptops that sport an SSD is still quite low on the market.

The compact and lightweight form of the MacBook is a perfect fit for journalists to carry around for their work, according to Scoop.

The 2015 MacBooks also feature the newest USB-C ports that are undoubtedly faster than the previous USB 3 and USB 2 standards.

For those who need more storage, LaCie already has a USB-C external hard drive that will be ready to ship once the 2015 MacBook launches.

In addition, the new MacBook models will be cheaper at around $1,300 compared to the price range of the Apple Watch.
