The WWE have been hyping Big Show vs. Shaquille O'Neal at WrestleMania 33 and its eight years in the making. However, the latest WWE rumors revealed that the match might not happen despite both men preparing hard for it.

According to Cageside Seats, there is whispers backstage in the WWE that Big Show vs. Shaq might get canceled and not happen at WrestleMania 33. There could be many factors why the WWE is suddenly pulling the plug on the match.

Some of the possible reasons include time constraint despite WrestleMania being a six-hour show including the kickoff. The matches are being finalized and there might not be enough time for Big Show vs. Shaq without pushing an important match down to the pre-show.

Another reason might be creative having no ideas for the match since Shaq is not a trained professional wrestler. The WWE could also be just preparing a big segment with The Rock or any other legends to create a more memorable WrestleMania moment.

However, the WWE should put into perspective the hard work Big Show and Shaq have put to get in shape. Big Show is probably in the best shape of his life while Shaq is also working hard to stay in shape despite his busy schedule.

Even John Cena has promoted the match thru an appearance on NBC's "Today" show and in an interview with TMZ Sports. Big Show vs. Shaq is a match casual fans want to see and it will help attract more fans in the future.

Nevertheless, these are just WWE rumors at the moment and should be taken with a grain of salt. Big Show vs. Shaq is still on at the moment until the WWE announces that it's not going to happen or they just completely forget it.

The rivalry between Big Show and Shaq started in 2009 when the NBA legend hosted an episode of Monday Night Raw. They got into an altercation with Shaq winning the exchange and throwing Big Show out of the ring.

Shaq then appeared at last year's WrestleMania as a surprise participant in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. He eliminated Damien Sandow before confronting Big Show. However, the two giants were eliminated by the combined powers of the other wrestlers.
