Leaked information coming straight from Samsung Turkey website has revealed Android 7.0 Nougat update schedule for Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S6, S6 Edge, Note 5 and S6 Edge+ Nougat Update
Samsung has already started the rollout of Android 7.0 Nougat update for Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones. The leaked information suggest that the Seoul-based company is currently testing the update for Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Note 5 and S6 Edge+. However, the S6 and S6 Edge are slated to get the update in the last week of this month.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ are scheduled to receive the update in March, Galaxy Club reported. The upcoming Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus smartphones are pegged to come preloaded with Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, Tab A Android 7.0 Nougat Update
The Samsung Galaxy tablets are also getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update alongside the software rollout for Galaxy smartphones. In May, the first Samsung tablet, the SM-T818 Galaxy Tab S2 Refresh would be getting the Android N upgrade. Currently, Samsung seems to be testing the update for this model.
The SM-T817 Galaxy Tab S2 is pegged to get the Android N update in the same month after it is made available to the Tab S2 Refresh model, Sam Mobile reported. The SM-P580 10-inch Galaxy Tab A with S-Pen is scheduled to get upgraded to Android N in July. In the same month, the software upgrade is expected to be available for Galaxy Tab A 10.1 without S-Pen. The Galaxy Tab S3 that is going to be announced in the next week at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017 event is rumored to come with Android 7.0 Nougat update preinstalled.
The leaked information has also revealed that the Galaxy A3 (2016), and A8 (2016) would be update to Android N in April. In May, Galaxy A5 (2016), A7 (2016), and A8 Duos (2016) would get the update. In July, Android N is coming to 2017 version of Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 along with Galaxy J7 (2016). The J7 (2015) will get in August. In September, it will be coming to Galaxy J5 (2016). In October, Android 7.0 Nougat will be made available to Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy On7 (2016). In November, the Galaxy J7 Prime (2016) will get the newest Android version.
