The latest updates for "Overwatch" will feature a debunked leaked character details, a guild system and saving highlight gameplays soon.
It seems that new updates on the new character joining "Overwatch's" roster has been revealed as recent speculations hinted that a spider-tank like character could be the next character and it is piloted by a 11-year-old child prodigy named Efi Oladele from Numbani, the same place where Doomfist's gauntlet was featured.
Efi is interested in Omnics, she lives around them in peace and wants to create one to help mankind. This Omnic could be Anchora, a female Omnic quadruped tank hero who was outed by a 4chan member who also leaked the Lunar festival.
However, a recent update stated that Efi is not likely the next hero everyone thinks as game director Jeff Kaplan told Polygon that Efi will play a part of the next playable character’s story, but that character has not been confirmed.
Meaning, that Efi will play important role on the next character joining "Overwatch" and so far Blizzard Entertainment is still keeping details on the dark.
Kaplan stated before that gamers should not expect fan-favorite Doomfist to come to "Overwatch" soon even thought gaming fans demand the character's appearance in the game.
In other news, Kaplan also teased the possibility of "Overwatch" having a Clan or Guild system and stated that he and Blizzard are excited about having a system within the game.
"Overwatch" in a thematic sense, is all about celebrating teamwork. With the current system, players can occasionally stay grouped together for one or two matches, but will drop out as soon as they start losing matches.
A built-in feature that bolsters camaraderie amongst players and lets rivalries naturally form would provide the extra bit of cohesion needed to underline Blizzard’s emphasis on building meaningful connections between players in Overwatch.
It’s fully possible that a clan system could even help bolster semi-pro leagues or generate more interest in local tournaments, eSportsEdition reported.
Lastly, Kaplan revealed in a post from the game's forum that they are developing new features that will allow players to save their gameplay highlights after the match.
But, gaming fans may need to wait a bit longer before they can save their highlights because Kaplan added that there is currently no release window for when this feature will arrive.
This is not too surprising given that Kaplan has previously stated that a highlights saving feature is not high up on Blizzard’s priority list, especially now with the team currently busy working on new "Overwatch" content updates and addressing reports of cheating players.
"Overwatch" is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
