K-Pop group I.O.I member Somi recently made a shocking confession on national television. The idol admitted that her boyfriend broke up with her after only one week of dating.

During a recent episode of the reality show, "Unnies' Slam Drunk," the K-Pop star opened up about her love life. When the other cast members asked Somi about whether or not she was in a relationship, the singer revealed that there was a man in her life, but he dumped her after a week.

The Canada-born singer then went on to discuss her relationship in detail and revealed that her boyfriend broke up with her because she could not meet his expectations. Somi's reason behind the split took the audience as well as cast members by surprise, because of the fact that she is a big name in the K-Pop industry and has all the qualities that one could ask for.

"She's proven herself to be incredibly intelligent, have a fantastic personality and her beauty doesn't even need describing," Koreaboo said in its description of the idol. Somi's admission led many to believe that her boyfriend might have left her for another woman or K-Pop idol.

Somi did not reveal the identity of her former boyfriend or when the break-up took place. However, in April 2016, the idol was vocal about how she had never been in a relationship and that she was ready to have a boyfriend. Therefore, it seems like the singer has since experienced having a boyfriend as well as the heartbreak that followed.

Somi was a part of the 11-member girl group I.O.I, which became famour through the show, "Produce 101." I.O.I disbanded as a group in 2016 and said their final goodbye with the release of the track, titled "Downpour" in January, as pointed out by Billboard.  Check out the MV of the track below:
