Earlier this week, it was revealed that PROMIZ and Good Neighbors launched a social media campaign called "Making a Warm Winter for Both Body and Heart" from Jan. 16 to Jan. 26. The Hallyu star's donation platform promised to make the donation once the campaign's post reached more than 1,000 likes.

"The money will be used for children who have gone through domestic violence," a representative from Good Neighbors said in a press statement obtained by The Korea Herald. "It will help them receive psychological therapy and help them with their heating bills at home."

Lee is known for his many charitable activities. Back in August 2016, he launched the "Transparent Umbrella Project" campaign that aims to distribute 2,500 transparent umbrellas to children. Within 10 hours, the project has earned more than 2 million hearts.

Lee said it is his way of giving back the love that he has received from his fans all over the world. He then encouraged everyone to donate, saying that one's intention of giving is more important than the amount.

This comes after Lee was awarded the grand prize at the 2017 National Brand Awards held at the National Assembly Hall in Seoul, Korean newsoutlet Naver TV reported. He won the prize in the cultural sector for boosting Korea and the Korean wave worldwide through his works.

"I traveled around the globe so many times over the past few years," Lee said in his acceptance speech. "I was so touched to see people (overseas) trying to write or speak Korean to me."

Lee then thanked everyone who has helped him become one of the most recognizable personalities in South Korea. He ended his speech by pledging he will further try to contribute to the country's brand image.
