The anime adaptation of "Dragon Ball Super" has recently delved into its "Universal Survival Arc" as the multiverse battle royale is currently underway. Some fans, nonetheless, may still be unaware that its Manga version - specifically the  'Future Trunks Arc" have changed its course a bit for its reading fanbase.

Avid followers of the anime witnessed how some elements of "Dragon Ball Z's" "Cell Saga" was incorporated in the "Future Trunks" storyline such as the potarra earings, kaioshins, the Vegetto fusion, and even the idea of time travel. However, some events that transpired in the anime are quite different from what is going on with the Manga version as of late.

For the uninitiated, the Manga version is a bit backtracked and has revealed that there were supposed to be 18 universes in the past. However, Zen-Oh (King of All) obliterated six of them when he went moody eons ago.

The Manga also highlighted that the demonic duo of Goku Black and Zamasu killed off the entirety of the gods in Future Trunk's timeline, though the East Kaioshin assured that no other entity would finish off the height deprived god. Another notable mention is the depiction of Gowasu's death through his very own apprentice Zamasu - a scene that was very detailed in the Manga.

Akira Toriyama's chosen successor - Toyotaro has this whim of compressing its source material due to "page contraints." The new "Dragon Ball" mangaka also tweaks the events in the comic series to add up a bit of excitement when it is read by fans, according to Comics Alliance

The anime, on the other hand, has just released a teaser for its upcoming episode 81 dubbed "Crusher Bergamo vs Son Goku! Which Has Sky-High Strength?!" The inbound episode has been the current discourse among fans and critics as some of them stressed that the series has lost a "sense of urgency" with its characters' power levels that are way off the charts, Comicbook reported.

The publication also pointed out Dragon Ball Super's penchant of devising a powerful move being done by one of its characters that usually saves the day. Such is now evident in episode 81 as the canine warrior Bergamot made a wager to the Omni King that if universe 4 (?) wins, the latter will quash his early ruling that the losing universe will be wiped out - a deal that the Omni King accepted.

Working titles for episodes 82 and 83 were also released by the publication V-Jump entitled "The Righteous Warrior Toppo Bursts In" and "Forming The Universe 7 Representative Team." Episode 81 will air on March 5, while episodes 82 and 83 will be released on March 19 and 26 respectively.
