Palermo has continued to struggle this season with five winless performances in their last six outings. The team is still inside the bottom three relegation area with 13 rounds to go in the competitions and is at risk of getting relegated to the Serie B next term.

The Rosanero is coming off a 1-4 defeat at the hands of current league leaders and defending champions Juventus on the road at the Juventus Stadium on Feb. 17, SkySports reported.

Juve midfielder Claudio Marchisio broke the game's deadlock in the 13th minute before Paulo Dybala doubled the hosts' lead in the 40th. Gonzalo Higuaín added another goal for the Old Lady three minutes after the hour-mark prior to Dybala's second goal of the contest, a left-footer from the center box in the 89th minute.

Head coach Diego Lopez's squad was able to put themselves on the board in stoppage with a goal by Bulgarian midfielder Ivaylo Chochev off a pass by teammate Alessandro Diamanti following a corner kick.

Meanwhile, Sampdoria is on a four-game unbeaten run and is settled in the middle of the standings at 10th place. They are a comfortable 20 points above the bottom three zone but 14 points below the final Europa League qualifying berth held by fifth-running team Atalanta.

La Samp was held to a 1-1 draw by newly-promoted squad Cagliari at their home ground of Luigi Ferraris Stadium last Sunday to snap a three-game winning streak, as per Sporting Life.

Cagliari defender Mauricio Isla opened the scoring early in the sixth minute of the match but Sampdoria was able to equalize before the halftime break, courtesy of a 22nd-minute left-footer by Italian striker Fabio Quagliarella.
