Samsung users need not wait any further to gaze their eyes on a Samsung Galaxy S8 or S8+ as both are said to be unveiled this March. Apart from the substantial leaks that went out just recently, the phones' powerhouse component is also said to be spotted online including some of its specs that go alongside it.
Samsung Semiconductor has just announced that their latest system on chip (SoC) - the 10nm Exynos 9 8895 is mass produced as of late. Moreover, the new chipset is expected to be lodged under the hoods of the aforementioned Galaxy S8 and S8+ handsets that are believed to be stacked on shelves by April.
The latest Exynos chip - built on the 10nm FinFET process, is said to be 27 percent faster and its power consumption being reduced to 40 percent unlike the ones built on a 14nm FinFET. The SoC is also laid with a gigabit LTE modem whose download and upload speeds could go as fast as 1Gbps and 150Mbps respectively. It is further buffed by a Mali-671 graphics processing unit (GPU) that will let users experience both 4K VR and 3D, Droid Life has learned.
It is worth noting though that the new Exynos chipset will be carried by S8s bound for regions other than the U.S. Western iterations of the banner phone will get an equally powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835.
Meanwhile, alleged specs of both variants of the S8s are said to have been leaked as well. If such information is to be believed, both handsets will get 4GB of RAM and backed up with either of the above-mentioned chipsets.
Both phones will be 4G LTE capable, preloaded with the Nougat OS, Samsung Pay-enabled, and carry the IP68 dust and water resistance features. Furthermore, the upcoming Galaxy S8s will have 64GB of memory space that is expandable via microSD.
The devices will sport 12 and 8-megapixel back and selfie shooters with the former having dual pixel features. However, both phones will vary on their screen sizes where the Galaxy S8 will don a 5.8-inch (regular) and a 5.6-inch (curved edge) display while the S8+ is expected to be larger at 6.2 and 6.1-inches, according to Techno Buffalo. Both phones are believed to be unveiled in March at an event hosted by Samsung.
