A rift might form between the Winchester brothers and their mother in the upcoming episode of "Supernatural" Season 12. Latest spoiler news teased of Mary's (Samantha Smith) attempts to convince Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) to join the British Men of Letters.
Mary finally unveiled her affiliation with the British Men of Letters to Sam and Dean in "Supernatural" Season 12 episode 13. After secretly working on missions for the said organization, Mary confessed the true nature of her previous jobs to her sons.
Aired on Feb. 23, the episode featured Sam and Dean's upset reaction over their mother's connection to the said organization and even highlighted why working with them is a bad idea. However, the Winchester brothers may be open to exploring a temporary partnership with the group.
In the upcoming "Supernatural" Season 12 episode 14, Mary will continue her efforts to convince her sons to join forces with her. A promo clip posted on Spoilers Guide teased of a discussion between the three characters with the Winchester matriarch highlighting how the British Men of Letters hunting methodology is better than the two brothers' strategy.
Despite Sam and Dean's disbelief over Mary's claims, it appears that the siblings will be willing to give their mother's suggestion a chance. Some of the scenes in the said clip showed a meeting with the British Men of Letters, as well as a shot of Sam and Mary fighting together.
Titled "The Raid," the upcoming "Supernatural" Season 12 episode will feature a hunt to kill vampires. However, the sudden appearance of the vampires' leader will put a wrench into Mary and the British Men of Letters' plans to eradicate the said group.
Meanwhile, it is unclear if Sam and Dean will decide to pledge loyalty to the British Men of Letters. In an earlier interview with TVLine, Ackles mentioned that the Winchester brothers and the said organization will have a disagreement about hunting methods. The actor added, "I think we'll find out in the future that maybe their methods aren't the best way."
