Nokia has formally announced the development of 5G FIRST, its newest solution to the massive demands of connected people and industries. This solution lets operators use early specifications for 5G networks through mobile transport solutions, packet core, and radio access network (RAN) such as the Nokia Air Scale massive MIMO Adaptive Antennas.

As reported by Android Headlines, this new development also includes the Intel architecture services and the Intel 5G modem, which is scheduled for initial deployment this year. Based on early specifications, operators will be the first to avail of this solution and take advantage of its benefits as soon as it becomes available in the market.

The advantages of 5G FIRST include its low latency connectivity and high capacity. In its aim to contribute to the final 3GPP standardization of the technology, Nokia will also utilize the lessons acquired through real-world deployment.

The 5G FIRST solution is also made up of other components such as the Air Scale System Module, Air Scale cloud RAN technology and MIMO Adaptive Antennas. The tech company reportedly had to update its previous Air Scale and Air Frame platforms to the specifications of 5G technology to meet the demands of the market. It also incorporated the Cloud Packet Core and Shared Data Layer into the product so as to deliver 5G fast. The move was also made to provide the massive scalability and flexibility needed by operators in delivering 5G services.

Recently, the tech company stretched its 5G Acceleration Services to cover 5G cross-domain architecture services, 5G phase one network design and 5G transformation consulting services. Currently, Nokia is also in touch with Intel and Verizon as it seeks to deliver its services to other cities, including Dallas.

According to Nokia, it will make its commercial 5G FIRST available in the second half of the year in order to meet early-adopter demands for the product. Watch Nokia's announcement at the MWC here:
