As the wait continues for Luca Todesco to finalize his Yalu102 jailbreak and for Team Pangu to possibly release their version of an iOS 10 jailbreak, Apple is fast approaching into the final build of iOS 10.3 and possibly looking to deploy iOS 11 soon. At the start of the week, beta 4 of version 10.3 has been seeded to developers.

That means ongoing work on OS version will be wrapped up soon. When the official iOS 10.2 is released, it will be a big jump from the previous versions, MacRumors reported, adding that "iOS 10.3 is a major update, introducing several new features and changes to the iOS 10 operating system."

There will be superficial and deep changes to be unpacked but surely, there will be bugs fixes to underscore Apple's relentless efforts to stop iOS hack attempts on their tracks. And this will be the same motivating goal for the iOS 11 release, which is expected to be introduced on June 5 or the same day that the tech giant will host its Worldwide Developers Conference 2017 edition or WWDC 2017.

These developments only heighten the frustration that at present is cast over the jailbreak community. In the past months, Pangu was unable to produce a jailbreak version of iOS 10 and the Chinese hacking group to the surprise of jailbreak fans. And to date, there is no word from the developers - it remains unclear if they are still working on an iOS crack solution or they've given up, and Apple has outraced them.

It was essentially radio silence on the part of the China-based jailbreak makers since iOS 10 was released, and it appears the same status will stay in effect in the months ahead.

Thankfully, Todesco made public his Yalu jailbreak tool but it remains in beta, meaning the solution is incomplete and still bugged by issues and instability. The last word from the Italian dev was he's working on a fix for the jailbreak to finally work on all 64-bit devices and finally the iPhone 7 series.

Speculations are rife too that Todesco is working with Cydia creator Saurik to solve the 7-day certification of the jailbreak, and the two made a vow that the fix will arrive real soon. But until now, the Yalu jailbreak is yet to be finalized and those in the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are unable to take advantage of the benefits stuffed with the JB tool.

If indeed iOS 10.3 release is happening soon and it will be the last big update of the series, it's likely that Apple will turn its attention to iOS 11. For the jailbreak creators, the possible next scenario would be to move on and crack version 10.3 instead. Or they can start their preparing for the beta releases of iOS 11 and look for possible jailbreak exploits.

Either way, the prospect seems not too rosy for a finalized iOS 10.2 jailbreak release.
