Noah Syndergaard, a baseball pitcher of the New York Mets of Major League Basketball, is a big fan of "Game of Thrones." In fact, despite his busy schedule, he found time to work as an extra in an episode of the upcoming seventh season.

In November 2016, Syndergaard flew to Spain to take part in the filming of "Game of Thrones" Season 7, he told New York Post. But when the Discovery Channel asked him to take part in a "Shark Week" show in January, he turned it down because it was "too close to spring training."

Syndergaard is known by many of his fans as Thor. A weightlifting enthusiast, the MLB star once shared a photo of himself weight training while dressed as the superhero Thor, which earned him the nickname.

It appears, however, that it is not likely for Syndergaard to appear as Thor in "Game of Thrones" Season 7. Before working as an extra in the HBO series, the MLB star appeared as himself in several TV series including "Mike & Mike" and "Uncle Grandpa." He also played a Viking in "Kevin Can Wait" Season 1 episode 7 titled "Hallow-We-Ain't-Home," which aired on Oct. 31, 2016.

Meanwhile, Syndergaard skipped the World Baseball Classic to try and get the Mets back to the World Series in 2017 on March 3, Friday. As a protest against the the current collective bargaining agreement called the 605G deal, he refused to sign contract.

A source told New York Daily News  that Syndergaard will earn $605,500 this season. Watch a video featuring the MLB star here:
