Suzy, 22, is one of the three active members of the girl group miss A while Baekhyun, 24, is a member of the boy group EXO. The two K-Pop stars collaborated on the song "Dream," which was recently voted the Best Collaboration at the 12th Annual Soompi Awards.
The winners of the annual survey with 29 categories were announced on March 2, Thursday, by Soompi. With Fuse and ZANYBROS as partners, the United States-based online news provider specializing in Korean pop culture received almost 100 million votes from hallyu fans from 139 countries across the globe from Dec. 19, 2016 to Jan. 16.
Suzy's boyfriend Lee Min Ho, 29, was declared Actor of the Year. He also won the Spottoon Best Couple award with his "The Legend of the Blue Sea" co-star Jun Ji Hyun, 35.
Suzy and Baehkyun's collaboration song "Dream" was written by Jin Suk Choi, Park Geun Tae and Kim Eana. It was recorded in 2015 and was released on Jan. 7, 2016.
The lyrics of "Dream," an R&B song with jazz and neo soul sounds, speaks about a couple falling in love. In the music video of the song, Suzy and Baekhyun are seen performing the song with four men playing the piano, electric guitar, double bass and drum set.
The first time Suzy and Baekhyun performed "Dream" together was at the 18th Mnet Asian Music Awards on Dec. 2, 2016. They performed the song again at the 31st Golden Disk Awards on Jan. 13.
