Melle Mel, 55, is one of the pioneers of rap and he is not impressed by Eminem and Jay Z. In "First Family of Hip Hop" Season 1 episode 5, the "Renegade" rappers received nothing but criticisms from Mel.

"It's garbage, most of it is garbage," Mel said referring to younger rappers, particularly Beyonce's husband. "These are just guys posing, Jay, all of them,"

In addition, Mel referred to Jay Z as a white guy, a white businessman and a clown. When asked about Eminem, the veteran rapper said, "What about him? He's white."

Mel said he could beat Eminem in a rap battle. The former even added that it is the easiest thing he would ever do.

Recently, Eminem's "Lose Yourself" collaborator Jeff Bass also referred to the "Rap God" rapper as a "white kid rapper." In an interview with Billboard, the music producer was asked how it feels like to look back at the success of "Lose Yourself," the first rap song to win an Academy Award, and see what it did for the rap game as a whole.

Bass said it was pretty amazing. He jokingly added that what made it even special was that the song came from "this white kid rapper and these two white producers."

According to Bass, it was an accomplishment to break a color barrier because the culture of hip-hop is known to be a black culture. For him, he, his brother Mark Bass and Eminem helped break the color barrier.

Meanwhile, Jay Z and Beyonce were at the El Capital Theatre in Hollywood, California, on March 2, Thursday, Billboard reported. They attended the premiere of "Beauty and the Beast" with their daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
