Viewers will find out in "NCIS" Season 14 episode 17 titled "What Lies Above" that the previous tenant of Timothy McGee's (Sean Murray) apartment hid a valuable item there. A robber will break into the apartment to look for the item.

It turns out that the previous tenant is a convicted criminal. Elsewhere, Congresswoman Jenna Flemming (Mary Stuart Masterson) will make an attempt to persuade Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll), the director of NCIS, to pursue a career in politics.

Masterson appeared in several series before appearing in "NCIS" Season 14. She played Denise Cabe in "Mercy" in 2010, Beth Cooper in "Touch," Rachel Keyser in "The Good Wife" and Katherine Tucker in "Blue Bloods."

Joining Murray, Masterson and Carroll in "What Lies Above" are Mark Harmon as Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Pauley Perrette as Abby Sciuto, Wilmer Valderrama as Nick Torres, Jennifer Esposito as Alex Quinn, Brian Dietzen as Jimmy Palmer, Emily Wickersham as Ellie Bishop, Duane Henry as M16 Officer Clayton Reeve, David McCallum as Donald Mallard, Blake Berris as Walter Shibberd, Mickey Cassidy as Louis Cole and Gena Shaw as Margo Lenkovic. Leslie Libman directed the episode, which was written by Scott Williams.

In "NCIS" Season 14 episode 16 titled "A Many Splendored Thing," Gibbs and the team found a new lead in the Chen case. Viewers saw how determined Bishop was to seek revenge for the murder of her late boyfriend Qasim Naasir (Rafi Silver), a translator who worked with NCIS and who was also the brother of deceased terrorist Rasheed Naasir (Gabeen Khan).

Torres taught the agents the art of pickpocketing in "A Many Splendored Thing." Steven D. Binder and David J. North wrote the episode, which was directed by Michael Zinberg.
