Hani of the popular girl group EXID expressed her happiness over her mother's approval of her career, years after she debuted as a singer.

According to Soompi, the incident which led to Hani's (Hee Yeon) disclosure of the story behind was during her guesting in the SBS variety show "Flower Crew," where she was teamed with Ahn Jung Hwan. While the two were in the car, the latter asked her about the greatest advantage of being a singer for her.

The singer then replied, "I feel like I've kind of become a daughter my parents can be proud of." So Hani's revelation of her personal life started.

Hani said that her mother was not in favor of her being a singer and joining the famous girl group, but not anymore. She narrated that she was given a period of three years within which she could work on her career; however, after that, she has to give up if she would not become successful.

Asiastarz quoted Hani saying, "Right just before three years, things turned out great. Since I was doing well, my mom said, 'I approve. I was wrong.' I got goosebumps then. It was the best. I was prouder than when anyone else said that. I think the person I most wanted to be acknowledged by was my mom."

Meanwhile, EXID remains to be one of the most famous girl group in Korea, having recently celebrated their fifth anniversary in February. According to other claims, Hani is set to appear on the fifth anniversary of the popular variety show "Happy Together" on March 23 together with KPop idols Yura, Hyeri, Kim Se Jung, and Jeon So Mi

Nonetheless, recent rumors suggest that EXID's comeback, which was previously rumored to be in April, has not been confirmed yet since Solji has not fully recovered yet. It can be remembered that she was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in December 2016.
