Two NBA stars will be featured in "Modern Family Season 8 episode 16 titled "Basketball." This will be the first time for both DeAndre Jordan, 28, of the Los Angeles Clippers and retired professional basketball player Charles Barkley, 54, to appear on the ABC show.

In "Baskteball," Phil Dunphy (Ty Burrell) will practice day and night in an attempt to rebound from a disastrous turn in the charity basketball game last year. Jordan and Barkley will show up this time and they are not there to prove who is the better NBA player.

Jordan and Barkley will start making bets so the pressure is on. Elsewhere, Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen) will try to keep Jay Prtichett (Ed O'Neill) from finding out about a work mistake while Jay is worried about Joe Pritchett (Jeremy Maguire) not being afraid of him at all.

Dr. Donna Duncan (Jane Krakowski) calls out her nemesis Gloria Delgado-Pritchett's (Sofia Vergara) lack of support at Manny Delgado's (Rico Rodriguez) school. The rivalry of the two is back.

"Basketball" will air on ABC March 8, Wednesday, at 9:00 p.m. on ABC. Meanwhile, watch Vergara's birthday bonanza on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" here:
