Adam West, 88, played Bruce Wayne/Batman in the "Batman" series from 1966 to 1968 and in "Batman: The Movie" in 1966. Decades later, he will appear as a guest star in the NBC series "Powerless," which stars Vanessa Hudgens, 28, as Emily Locke and Alan Tudyk, 45, as Van Wayne.

"Powerless" is the first sitcom series set within the DC Universe world. It was developed by Ben Queen, who also created the NBC romantic comedy series "A to Z."

West will not play Batman in "Powerless." He will play the chairman of Wayne Industries named Dean West.

Wayne Industries has to make some cuts after the attack on Gotham City. West's character will have to visit Charm City to deliver the bad news to Hudgens and Tudyk's characters, Entertainment Weekly has learned.

This is not the first time West was featured on the NBC show. He was also the narrator in the premiere episode titled "Wayne or Lose," which aired on Feb. 2.

"Powerless" Season 1 episode 5 titled "Cold Season" aired on NBC on March 9, Thursday, at 8:30 p.m. The episode was directed by Clark Mathis.

In "Cold Season," Van took advantage of the good nature of Ron (Ron Funches). In an attempt to preoccupy his new girlfriend's child, the former had the latter assemble a toy.

On the other hand, Emily convinced Teddy (Danny Pudi) to enter an invention into the Wayne Innovation Contest against the Wayne X's elitist engineers. Teddy had his doubts and Emily knew that.

Joining Tudyk, Funches, Hudgens and Pudi in "Cold Season" are Christina Kirk as Jackie, Jennie Pierson as Wendy, Upasana Beharee as Nisha, Gerrard Lobo as Ajay, Atlin Mitchell as Crimson Fox and Indrajit Sarkar as Sunil. It also marked the "Powerless" debut of Cottrell Guidry, who is currently filming a comedy sci-fi movie titled "Soul Frackers."

"Powerless" Season 1 episode 6 titled "Van of the Year" will air on NBC on March 16, Thursday, at 8:30 p.m. In April, West will be at the Steel City Con with his Burt Ward, 71, who played Dick Grayson/Robin in the "Batman" series from 1966 to 1968, Trib Live reported.
