Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki's "Descendants of the Sun" co-star Kim Ji Won will turn 25 on Oct. 19. On the same day, Matt Stone's "South Park" co-creator Trey Parker will turn 48.
Born in the Geumcheon District of Seoul, South Korea, Kim attended Dongguk University where she studied Drama. She recently played Yoon Myeong Ju, an army doctor who follows the footsteps of her father, Lieutenant General Yoon Gil Joon (Kang Shin Il), in "Descendants of the Sun."
Before "Descendants of the Sun," Kim starred in "The Heirs" with Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye. Kim's fans can catch her in a new KBS series tentatively titled "Ssam My Way," which is expected to premiere on in May, Xports News reported.
Kim was only six years old when "South Park" premiered on Comedy Central. Parker, on the other hand, was 29 years old at the time.
"South Park" Season 20 aired from Sept. 14, 2016 to Dec. 4, 2016 and at least three more seasons are still on the way. Viewers are excited to see the next season considering that Donald Trump has just been elected as the United States president.
In an interview with the Australian TV show "7.30," Parker and Stone revealed there will be no character that closely resembles Trump in "South Park" Season 21. The former said it is "tricky now because satire has become reality."
"South Park" Season 21 is expected to premiere on Comedy Central a month after Parker turns 48 on Oct. 19. In February, the creators of the animated series were at Princess Theatre in Melbourne for the premiere of "The Book of Mormon," the stage musical they co-wrote with Robert Lopez, Daily Mail reported.
Oct. 19 is not only the 25th and 48th birthdays of Ji Won and Parker, respectively. It will also mark the 15th anniversary of the day Mother Teresa of Calcutta was beatified by Pope John Paul II.
Also, "Dance with Wolves" will have its 27th anniversary. Released on Oct. 19, 1990, the Western drama film directed by Kevin Costner won Best Picture at the Academy Awards in 1991.
