It appears that the relationship had run its course for exes Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. It was confirmed that the couple have indeed parted ways after their 10-month romance. However, the split was amicable and the two continue to communicate with one another.

According to their reps, Perry and Bloom are "taking respectful, loving space at this time." US Magazine reports that the relationship began to fall apart when Bloom spent weeks in China to film his upcoming thriller film "S.M.A.R.T. Chase: Fire & Earth." It is said that the couple came to a realization that "they make better friends than they do partners."

A source added that the former couple is not good at long distance and that Bloom was not ready for a serious relationship yet. E! News reported, however, that the split was amicable and that Perry and Bloom still keep in touch with one another. Sources said that they still "text and talk." The source also shared that while Bloom is not ready for something serious, he is certainly open to the possibility of reconciling with Perry when the time is right.

"He cares deeply for Perry and they have a very carefree dynamic with each other," the insider reveals. "They are both free spirits."

Perry, who recently changed her look by chopping her hair into an edgy pixie in platinum color, also revealed that she is in good terms with Bloom, writing on Twitter that it's possible to still be friends and love your former partners.

On the other hand, an insider revealed that with Bloom back on the market, fans can expect that he will be on the dating radar soon. The insider revealed that the "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales" actor likes to flirt, and now that he's single fans can expect to see him start dating again soon.

Interestingly, Bloom was spotted getting cozy with Erin McCabe at a charity event on Feb. 22. Dating rumors, however, were dismissed. He was also seen attending Chris Martin's 40th birthday party in Malibu, but onlookers said Bloom arrived alone and left alone.
