"Star-Crossed" was directed by John Medlen Jr. In the episode, Supergirl will be put on high alert. Viewers should expect a new villain coming to National City.

Supergirl will face an attack by the Music Meister (Darren Criss). Elsewhere, Lyra (Tamzin Merchant) will get her boyfriend Winn Schott (Jeremy Jordan) in trouble with the law.

Maggie Sawyer (Floriana Lima) will try to help Winn. However, old loyalties will get in the way.

Alex is going through quite a roller coaster when it comes to her family issues. She is about to meet with one of the former boyfriends of Maggie. It appears that Alex is heading for the next step.

"They have a lot to grow together, but they are realizing how serious they are about each other," Leigh told Entertainment Weekly. "So, I think there's some things coming up that would take it maybe to the next level."

Joining Leigh, Benoist, Criss, Merchant, Jordan and Lima in "Star-crossed" are Mehcad Brooks as James Olsen/Guardian, Chris Wood as on-El, David Harewood as J'onn J'onzz, Teri Hatcher as Rhea, Paul Lazenby as Mandrax and Jason Vaisvila as Boris. Jason Diablo and Shaughnessy Redden will play a gang leader and a Kryptonian emissary, respectively, in the episode.

"Star-crossed" is the second "Supergirl" episode of Hatcher. The actress is currently filming the comedy crime movie "Madness in the Method" with director Jason Mewes, who will appear at the upcoming Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo with Kevin Smith, Calgary Sun reported.
