In "Jane the Virgin" Season 14 titled "Chapter Fifty-Eight," viewers will a battle between Jane Villanueva (Gina Rodriguez) and Petra Solano (Yael Grobglas). The former will run for Room Mom against the latter.
Rafael Solano (Justin Baldoni) will not support just one but he will try to support both Jane and Petra. Elsewhere, Rogelio de la Vega (Jaime Camil) will find a clever way to get information about the relationship of Xiomara Villanueva (Andrea Navedo) and Bruce (Ricardo Chavira).
Jane messed up at Mateo's (Joseph Sanders) school in "Jane the Virgin" Season 14 titled "Chapter Fifty-Seven." Petra convinced Jane to help with the preschool fundraiser to get in the good graces of the director of the preschool.
In "Chapter Fifty-Eight," Alba Villanueva (Ivonne Coll) will seek to impress her crush. However, it will not go quite as she intended.
Aside from playing the title role in "Jane the Virgin," Rodriguez is also set to star in two upcoming 2017 films. She will star with Erinn Hayes and Nadine Velasquez in "Sharon 1.2.3." and with Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson and Oscar Isaac in "Annihilation."
In real life, Rodriguez is in a relationship with Joe LoCicero. They have been dating for six months.
On March 8, Rodriguez was spotted in Los Angeles running errands alone with her pet. Her right hand was holding iced beverage while her left hand was holding the leash of her dog named Casper, Just Jared reported.
Rodriguez was among the speakers at the recent "Hacking the Script: Disrupting Diversity in Hollywood" panel at SXSW along with "Doctor Stranger" writer Jon Spaihts. The actress said that she was patiently waiting for Marvel to start a project for a female Latina lead and she would love to play the role.
When asked by Geeks of Color if she was aware of America Chavez, Rodriguez pointed to her manager. The "Jane the Virgin" star told the publicaiton that she was a fan of the character.
