In an attempt to run away from her feelings for Nick Miller (Jake Johnson), Jess Day (Zooey Deschanel) will head to Portland in "New Girl" Season 6 episode 20 titled "Misery." While in Portland, Jess will also take care of her father Bob Day (Rob Reiner).
Nick and Reagan (Megan Fox) will be at a work party. The former will turn panicky when he realizes that he and the former really do not know each other.
Aly Nelson (Nasim Pedrad) will steel herself for her introduction to the mother of Winston Bishop (Lamorne Morris). Apparently, the woman has not been told that they are cops.
Joining Johnson, Deschanel, Reiner, Fox, Pedrad and Morris in "Misery" are Max Greenfield as Schmidt, Hannah Simone as Cece Parekh, Amber Coyle as Cassie, Anna Maria Horsford as Charmaine, Manuela Osmont as Lucy and Peter Porte as Jack. "Belle and the Bulldogs" actress Sophie Sabatini will play a teenage girl in the episode.
