2016 was a big year for young actor Colton Haynes. The 28-year-old hunk, who starred in "Teen Wolf" and "Arrow," came out as gay in May 2016. Recently, he celebrated the first quarter of 2017 by getting engaged to his boyfriend Jeff Leatham.

Leatham, a celebrity floral designer, proposed to Haynes on March 11 with a shiny diamond engagement band. Furthermore, the proposal was made all the sweeter with a video message from Cher, Us Weekly reported. The video was presented on a big screen moments before Leatham got down on bended knees to propose. Actress Ally Maki gave a closer look at Haynes' engagement band by sharing a screen capture of their Facetime conversation on Instagram. Diamond expert Michael O'Connor said that the design of Haynes' ring, which is also embellished with colorful gemstones, is a "hot trend." The ring value is estimated at $20,000.

After the engagement night, the couple continued with the celebrations the following day. The couple hosted an intimate gathering that was attended by the couples' families, as well as Haynes' co-stars Skyler Samuels, Holland Roden, Ian Bohen, Janina Gavankar and more.

According to Leatham and Haynes, their engagement will be short and they will tie the knot very soon, E! News reported. The couple are reportedly planning their wedding. Moreover, they also revealed that they want to raise kids of their own after they get married.

Haynes came out in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in May 2016. "People want you to be that GQ image that you put out, but people don't realize what it's like to act 24 hours a day. I'd go home and I was still acting," Haynes shared. "People who are so judgmental about those who are gay or different don't realize that acting 24 hours a day is the most exhausting thing in the world."

Leatham and Haynes first publicly announced their relationship around Valentine's Day in 2017.
