Ella Chen, a member of the girl band S.H.E., is expected to give birth anytime because she is on her ninth month of pregnancy.
However, while waiting for her son to pop out soon, she uploaded on Facebook her thoughts on filial piety while on a late-night musing. Ella recorded her thoughts while she was lying in bed. Because of her slim looks, some netizens commended her beauty to which the singer-actress joked that while she looks so pretty, she has no friends, Toggle reported.
Thoughts on Filial Love
For Ella, a child is filial if she could does not cause the family to feel stressed or burdened. She explained, “If I [as a child] have the ability to take care of the vulnerable and weak, or the power to [positively] influence those around me, then the parents should feel even more accomplished than me, [ as the credit lies with them].”
The 35-year-old singer-actress added that being filial is not something a son or daughter does on special occasions but the little things a person does in daily life. It is also when a child always places his or her parents in their heart and care for them.
Although Ella married Alvin Lai, a Malaysia businessman, almost five years ago, she recently only stopped accepting new job offers after she announced her pregnancy, The Star reported. But she continues some of the work she planned earlier.
Fun-Loving Person
In October, Ella said she would continue to be fun-loving despite her pregnancy. She added that becoming a mother would not change her. “I will still be the same Ella - bubbly and fun-loving. I don't want to become overly cautious just because of my role as a mother,” The Straits Times quoted the girl band member.
