Production for "Pitch Perfect 3" is currently in high gear as the movie is set for a December 2017 release date. For the Barden Bellas' third outing, the film is adding new characters to the mix, but some of the previous stars won't be appearing. Here's a list of who's in and who's out in the "Pitch Perfect 3" cast.
IN: "Orange is The New Black" star Ruby Rose
2017 is shaping up to be big year for Ruby Rose. The actress recently starred in "xXx: Return of Xander Cage" and "Resident Evil: Final Chapter." Now, she is currently filming "Pitch Perfect 3" alongside fellow Aussie actress Rebel Wilson.
According to Mail Online, Ruby Rose's character has a triple threat status on the global stage.
OUT: Skylar Astin
Skylar Astin, who played the love interest to Anna Kendrick's Becca, will not reprise his role as Jesse Swanson in "Pitch Perfect 3." As a matter of fact, he confirmed that the Treblemakers will not be involved in the third film.
"Yes. As of now, the Trebles and I won't be in the third Pitch Perfect movie," Skylar tweeted. "They seem to be taking the story in a different direction ????"
IN: DJ Khaled
The Sun reported that DJ Khaled is joining "Pitch Perfect 3" and will be playing a "major role" in the film. The musician confirmed the news on his Instagram account, where he shared a couple of snaps with him and "Pitch Perfect" producer and star Elizabeth Banks.
OUT: Adam DeVine
Although DeVine made a couple of cryptic posts on Snapchat about his involvement in "Pitch Perfect 3," it's safe to assume that he won't reprise his role as Bumper Allen. So far, he isn't listed one of the returning stars in the trilogy. Moreover, Astin's revelation regarding The Treblemakers makes it pretty clear that none of the dudes will be back.
Rumored: Justin Bieber, Vanessa Hudgens, Miley Cyrus and Lea Michele
There have been rumblings that Bieber, Hudgens and Michele are up for cameo roles in "Pitch Perfect 3." There is no confirmation as to their casting as of yet.
