2018 is already shaping up to be a good year for movies. Several sequels are headed to the theaters in 2018, as well as highly anticipated adaptations. Here's our bold fearless forecast for the top blockbuster movies in 2018.

Avengers: Infinity War

The third "Avengers" movie is already dubbed as the most expensive movie made ever. According to Bleeding Cool (via Movie Pilot), the two-part "Avengers: Infinity War" reportedly has a $1 billion budget, $400 million of which will go to the actors' salaries. The movie has a jaw-dropping cast list, from veteran Marvel actors Robert Downey Jr. to newer Marvel members such as Brie Larson.

With Marvel allotting such a large sum on "Avengers: Infinity War," it perhaps goes to show how confident the studio is with the material and its outcome. Marvel has been enjoying a steady stream of success so far, and the same is expected from "Avengers: Infinity War."

Deadpool 2

The R-rated "Deadpool" earned around $760 million in worldwide returns, and there are already high expectations for the sequel. The rawness of the violence in the film and Ryan Reynolds' spitfire wittiness factor into the film's overall charm, making it another big contender in blockbuster listings in 2018.

Aquaman

We probably think we've seen it all when it comes to superheroes, but the DCEU has made it clear that we haven't seen everything yet. Enter Aquaman, to be portrayed by Jason Momoa in the superhero's solo movie next year. What makes "Aquaman" different from other movies is that a lot of the action scenes will be done under water.

"The deep sea is a scary world. And then also explore the wondrous world of Atlantis," director James Wan said about the film's setting, as reported by Movie Pilot.  Moreover, screenwriter Tim Beale teased that "Aquaman" is going to "blow people's mind," and we're counting on that.

Jurassic World 2

"Jurassic World" generated a whopping $1.67 billion in the box office, making it one of the most successful reboots in movie history. The sequel is expected to be just as massive as first. This time, "Jurassic World 2" is going out of its theme part comfort zone and expanding into the world of science and weaponry. Rumors suggest that weaponizing the dinosaurs will be one of the central conflicts in "Jurassic World 2."

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

"Fantastic Beasts" is proof that the "Harry Potter" fever hasn't quite died down. The movie secured $812.5 million in the box office, and the sequel, which is expected to come out in 2018 is expected to perform just as successfully. The sequel will introduce a younger Dumbledore, to be portrayed by Jude Law.
