"I am still overwhelmed by the support that the whole Team Lakay is getting from the entire nation," Folayang said during the event. "We are all grateful for every cheer, support and prayer."

Such support keeps Team Lakay "inspired, motivated, and humble," according to the reigning ONE Lightweight World Champion. He added that the goal of the team every fight night is "always the same, which is to bring honor to our country."

During the conference, Folayang, Banario, Belingon, Kingad and Iniong were joined by their fellow Team Lakay fighters Edward "The Ferocious" Kelly, Geje "Gravity" Eustaquio, Joshua Pacio, April Osenio and their head coach Mark Sangiao. Kelly, Eustaquio, Pacio and Osenio are also currently signed with ONE FC.

At "ONE Championship: Kings of Destiny," Folayang defeated New Zealand-based Malaysian fighter Ev Ting. This made Folayang the second Filipino fighter to defeat Ting with Mark "Mugen" Striegl being the first.

After losing to Striegl in Macau, China, in 2012, Ting went on to defeat several Filipino fighters including Kelly in 2014 and his brother Eric "The Natural" Kelly in 2016. Ting also won over Rolando Dy in 2012 as well as Cary Bullos and Banario both in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2015.

Having successfully defended his world title, Folayang now has 18 wins, 5 losses and 0 draw. Banario has 12 wins, 6 losses and 0 draw, Belingon has 15 wins, 5 losses, and 0 draw and Inion has 5 wins, 2 losses and 0 draw while Kingad is still an undefeated fighter with 5 wins.
